Playing on iPad 4th gen. After several updates, the battles in the game are still super low frame rate, resulting in painful ugly choppiness. Everything else like the menu, controls, CGI cutscenes, and walking around on the field are ok.

I said I would be happy if they fixed the MFi support, and they did! Square-enix did something right for once!

Controllers work, and thats all I need. The button scheme is like the Japanese version. It takes two seconds to get used to.

I grew up playing this game and its the exact same feel and everything. I have no idea why people are rating this lower than 5 stars, use your brain to fix trivial problems and you wont have any issues. Im on "disk 3" and havent had any issues and Ive done literally everything there is to do besides the stupid jump rope game. The only issue is that it takes up a lot of space but.. Its FF9, what do you expect?!

Waste a money, no sound

Hello I would like to notice you guys at square Enix I have a iPod 5th generation and the software is up to date. Im here because of the app crashing like the app will be added to my home screen but when ever I open the app it will start loading bar to 25% on the screen and in 5 seconds it crashes immediately Ive tried to reset my iPod and it didnt work and tried to redownload it and still have the same problem if anyone is having the problem and knows how to fix please tell me

Ok I bought this game I love the final fantasy games but i need help I downloaded it but every time I open it it gets to 25% on extracting files then crashes how can I fix this or get my money back please

Hi guys Ive had a pretty enjoyable experience playing this game the only thing is once I got amarant my frame rate went to complete garbage during battles, I used to only have sporadic issues but now its every time. Im using an iPad 4th generation

Possibly my favorite game off all time. Just finished it. Soooo good. Decent port. Excellent by squenix stands. The 3D graphics update look great, at least wish they updated the backgrounds (which should be really really easy), music, and FMVs though. One of the few ports squenix hasnt wrecked (I cant even bring my self to play the new ff6).

I loved this game as a kid and was happy to play it again as an adult on my iPhone. The game works great. I didnt have any problems with lag, controls or anything like some of the other reviews mentioned. Would definitely recommend.

I was absolutely loving playing this game again, reliving old Final Fantasy is like coming home again. Until it glitched on me. Im stuck at Oielvert. Cant enter the castle, cant see a moogle there. Cant activate the root scene where you climb down into the basin, and cant leave the continent until I finish the mission - totally stuck. Updated the game but nothing has changed. Closed and restarted the game. Still no dice :(

Ok first ill be completely honest. 1st- most people wonder is it worth the 20bucks.. So with that said the graphics compared to the ps1 are outstanding. The game play is smooth it has yet to crash or freeze on me. It has automatic cheats you can keep disabled or enable them. From all attacks being 9999. To master all abilities as soon as the item it equiped. And also speeds up time to get through the long talk scenes and skip the short scenes if you dont wanna watch them. Im currently at dali which isnt that far into it. Im playing on an iphone 6s. So with all that said is the 20bucks worth it? I say yes id pay 20 bucks every time to play this game its my favorite final fantasy. Ps- if anything happens or crashes ill be sure to update. Hope i helped you guys/gals who are on the fence of wanting to buy it.. Ok well time has past and ive beaten the game i hve the iphone6 and it didnt crash or freeze on me once. Deff. Worth the 20bucks. Great game!

Im a Final Fantasy lover but this game is too short for the money. I finished in two weeks and I dont play it everyday.... I like Final Fantasy three better.....

Im stuck at kujas desert palace because the ! Icon will not show up at the final candle. Ive gone so far as to restart my entire game, only to end up in the same issue. I have the newest iPhone and its up to date. Also, I cant get the game to even load on my iPad. It just crashes 25% in every time I try to load it. I was happy with spending 20 bucks on it until this happened. Whats the point of only getting to play half the game?

I have been one of the biggest fans of square soft and square enix for years. Final Fantasy IX has been one of the most important and best games in my life. I first played it and automatically became obsessed. The new updated version has amazing graphics, good sound quality, and a very easy touch interface. I would highly recommend it. I just really hope that they can rerelease Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2 for mobile please.

Please fix problem with last light at desert palce

You may ask if this game is worth it. Ill answer that with I purchased this game last week already have nearly 20 hours on it. So many awesome memories!! Movies look good and the character models do stick out a hair from the non-enhanced backgrounds. Gameplay is smooth. I had one app crash and that was when I was switching apps as a battle was loading. My fault. Is it worth the money? One word YES pay once and done!!! No gems to buy, no boosts to buy, pay it and forget. My only complaint on my 6s plus theres a frame which goes dead with your thumb so if you hit it you stop moving. Tap to move on the map where you want to go. "Auto save" when you change rooms. Tons of available save slots. The card game works well. Auto play button so easier grinding if youre into that. 5/5 would ff9 on iOS again.
