Doesnt load past 25% waste of your time and money...

I love the final fantasy games from the ps and ps2 era. I would give the game full stars except that I just recently purchased a new iPhone and iPad mini and cannot use the cloud save function for some reason. According to the patch notes this was fixed in May and I purchased the game in June and its not functional. I cannot find any support or information in the game manual to say Im doing anything wrong so I am assuming the issue is not fully resolved. New iPhone 6s, 6s plus, and iPad mini 2 running newest iOS cannot use cloud save.

Not knowing I wasted my money I have I iPad mini I DID NOT KNOW IT WOULD NOT WORK BULL ZHIT if at all possible fix it I dont spend a lot of money in the app store as it is and now I will never spend money here again (string of Obscenities)#$%@}#

This is probably a good game for those who like a VERY, VERY LOT of dialog; but for those like me, who prefer action (Diablo, Warcraft, etc.) it is very tedious. In the first 30 minutes of game play, I had to tap the screen hundreds of times just to advance dialog for conversations I was not interested in. Give me action games over screenplays. Otherwise, good graphics and good controls, but a very steep learning curve for fighting, using items, etc.

I cannot play at all. Every time I try to get it to load itll "extract" files and get to 25% and stop and close the app itself. Can anyone help?

Updated visuals, new features (cheats, auto save, fast forward, skip movies), as well as optimized touch screen controls make this the best version of this game. Could not have asked for a better port of this classic.

I loved this game as a kid when it first came out on the PSX and now its even more amazing that I have the game right in the palm of my hand wherever I am or wherever I go. Definitely worth the money to download from the App Store.

This game plays great on my iPhone 6 and all the little extra stuff this version adds on like all the little cheat codes is a nice added bonus as well! Graphics have been enhanced and the story is how I remember it 10+ years ago. Now where is FINAL FANTASY 8 SQAURE ENIX!!! THATS EVERYONES FAVORITE!!

Rip off game wont even download without crashing spent money on something I cant even play they just want your cash dont care if you can play

All time favorite game in the FF series, controls and touch screen seem fine as well. Only problem is that theres a MAJOR DELAY in battles. Not sure what happened... Was working fine when first downloaded then a day later its been lagging and has been since. Please update! Makes time based activities and battles systemically difficult.

Final Fantasy games are awesome and this is one of my favorites. Unfortunately it crashes a lot and the frame rate during battles is choppy and when I flip the screen the battles become so slow they are almost unplayable. On the upside I get to play ff9 on my iPad and that is pretty sweet.

Finally, you can set custom controls. This should help you play the game exactly as you please, no matter what brand of controller you have. For the Nimbus, I had to switch the A and B buttons only. The battles take a bit too long to load on the iPhone 6S and iPad Pro 12", considering how much power they have. You can set the game to skip the battle camera in the beginning to save time.

Game says 2.02 gigabytes. I have 8 available. Game has been downloaded before but I deleted it so I could do actual work. And now I go to re download it it wont let me. So if you manage to get it downloaded then keep it. Wish someone would send me a link to the iOS package to install manually or something. Ill try iTunes next.

Spent $21.00 for an app that crashes every time it loads and has never been played once on my iPad. Do not waste your money on this garbage

While opening the app so it can extract the files it stops at 25% then the app crashes and closes pls fix this issue

When I first hated about RPG games I found this game and it looked really great so I ask my mom for some time to work for money I got the game (spoiler alert I played the game on PS3 first before I bought this game its just I did not beat the book guy and omza) also the game crashes In the world map in the air ship when using high speed mode cuz your moving to fast also the easier way to get the the best sword in the game

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it after making room on my iPad, now when it tries to extract it doesnt go past 25% and it crashes. It is the most recent version and it used to play on my device.

The iOS version of ff9 meant I could finally see how this game ended. I wish Id left myself to wonder. You know that, "aaaaaand its gone!" meme? Thats how the second half of this story plays out. Its atrocious. But you probably already knew that. The new touch control scheme was a good idea. On paper. At best. Scrolling through menus feels clunky. Sometimes you have to double tap to select things, sometimes not. Maybe its easier on a tablet, but it took a considerable amount of effort and focus just to get to the same level of competency on an iPhone 6 as I used to be at on psx, playing half-mindedly. The option to enable a transparent D-pad and buttons would have been great, but **** you instead. The updated character models look really good. +1 star The cheats are great and circumvent the handicap of using the touch controls to allow you to be disappointed by the story even faster. If you rely on the auto save feature, which is otherwise a god send, you get locked out of your save file upon completing the game because it saves at the beginning of the end cinematic. However, you do get to play blackjack upon completing the game, but it crashes every dozen or so hands. Dollars to disappointment, this is the worst iOS game Ive ever played.
